Effective 16 October 2026 · applies to Lunara for iPhone and Android, version 1.0 and later

Lunara is published by Singularity Industries (Croatia, EU), the data controller for this app. Contact: mateppc@gmail.com.

The short version

What the app stores on your device

DataWhy
Periods, flow, symptoms, mood, energy, sleep, pain, weight, basal temperature, notesTo show your cycle, predictions, insights and patterns
Profile answers (first name, age, cycle and period length, lifestyle, diet, hormonal birth control)To tailor your daily guide and recipes
Reminder settings, checklists, saved recipesTo run the features you switch on

This data stays in the app's private storage on your phone. We have no copy of it and cannot access it. On iPhone, it may be included in your own device or iCloud backups, which Apple controls under your Apple account settings. On Android, Lunara excludes its data from cloud backups.

Apple Health and Health Connect

If you choose Import periods in Settings, Lunara asks for read-only access to your menstrual flow records in Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android). Lunara uses them only to fill in your past periods inside the app, on your device. Lunara never writes to Apple Health or Health Connect, never sends this data off your device, never shares it with anyone, and never uses it for advertising, marketing or data brokering. You can revoke access at any time in the Health app or Health Connect settings.

Lunara's use of information received from Health Connect adheres to the Health Connect Permissions policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Notifications

Reminders (daily check-in, period heads-up, phase changes) are scheduled locally on your phone. No push service or server is involved.

Exports

When you create a PDF cycle report or a JSON export, it's generated on your phone and shared only where you send it using your phone's share sheet.

Legal bases (GDPR)

Health data is processed on your device on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give during onboarding (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw consent at any time by erasing your data in Settings or deleting the app.

Your rights

Because your data stays on your device, you can access, export, correct and delete it yourself in the app at any time. Deleting the app removes all of its data from your phone. For any privacy question, email mateppc@gmail.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority (in Croatia: AZOP, azop.hr).

Children

Lunara isn't intended for anyone under 14 and the app blocks onboarding below that age. Users aged 14–17 should use it with a parent or guardian's agreement.

Changes

If a future version adds optional features that process data off your device (for example, cloud sync), we'll update this policy before that version is released and the feature will be off until you choose to turn it on.

Medical disclaimer

Lunara provides general wellness information. It isn't a medical device, doesn't diagnose or treat anything, and must not be used as contraception.
